It doesn't look like this storm is going to end any time soon. Don't things like this happen normally? When that tower gets closer I mean. Is it really time for that already?

[ The video, which until now has been focused on the rain outside his window, pans back into the room with a sigh that could stand to be heavier, all things considered. His voice is cheerfully curious nonetheless and the view finder drops to a pair of coconuts sitting on the floor. ]

I know I'm not the only one to have gotten some kind of gift, but could someone tell me what exactly these hairy rocks are for? I'm sorry, about the dream I mean. I don't know if I can really apologize for something I didn't- do, but, well.

[ His movements are slower than usual- a lag of hesitancy more than anything else and when his face comes into view his expression is just as drawn as it'd been the night of the dreams. It takes him a moment longer to find his nerve, and even so, he can't quite bring himself to look directly into the screen. ]

-Um, Queen Zelda? Your majesty? Weariness invades all the places his tone would have been light and cheerful and though the device has been clicked on, it takes a stretch of moments before he's able to speak. ]

I- suppose we're all free now. I still don't know why any of this happened in the first place. What they wanted from us.

Harry? Are you alright?

[ There's another pause, enough time for him to reach up and rub at his face before he speaks again, croaking the question. ]

Has anyone seen Arthur yet?

Alright so, Merlin's magic has been cursed, which means essentially that all magic he tries to do will do the exact opposite of what he intends for it to do. Not a big deal until you know, Merlin decides to stick his head in and try to heal someone, or save someone. Then you're well. Screwed.

Since he's a do-gooder by nature and likes to try to help everyone it really doesn't matter if he knows you or not. I figured I'd put this out there if anyone was interested in having their character hurt/maimed/traumatized/killed. If so, feel free to leave me an ooc comment in here and I'll come harass you and we'll sort something out ♥

[ The feed snaps on to a view of the street though it's hardly an enjoyable view. Instead the buildings are flying by, microphone filled with little more than frantic footfalls and labored breathing as Merlin sprints at full speed through the city. The images wobble with each stride, jerking from side to side and his words are breathy, barely audible and the boy doesn't spare a pause to stop and inhale much less to try and explain. ]

It's no good- they're too fast-

[ The view turns violently as he pivots on his feet, changes course to head into the brush- a hope that maybe the monsters would be easier to face than this. ]

Too- strong-

[ He's all but gasping now, trees and brush snapping at his clothes, the crunch of leaves and twigs underfoot replacing the clip of shoes against the streets. His words begin as a thick swallow, voice fracturing under the physical strain but his pace doesn't let up. ]

I can't- outrun them and they won't- they've been taking people-

[ All at once the sound stops, abruptly cut off by a strangled, breathless cry as Merlin is quite classically, clotheslined. The camera goes flying without him, tumbles into the brush and lands on it's side- view stilled at last and focused instead on the roots of a tree as all else lapses into silence. ]
